Greetings Humboldt Relief patients! Many of you use medical marijuana edible products as part of your treatment regime; however, donating for pre-made edibles may pose certain problems. First off, dosage will be difficult to determine initially. Finding the right amount can be tricky because eating too much might produce unpleasant effects whereas eating too little often brings no relief. Those with dietary restrictions, especially diabetes, often have trouble with pre-made edible cannabis products as well. Avoid potency problems along with ingredient issues by making your own edibles! We’re offering several products to help turn you into a ganja gourmet chef:
These fine products all come from our friends at Canna Catering. You’ll find that the possibilities are virtually endless when it comes to cooking with these medical marijuana edible products. Simply substitute the cannabis infused butter or Canola Oil into any recipe that utilities either of these ingredients. The Ganja Glycerin drops are just as versatile. The drops are particularly useful in liquids or beverages.
Remember, eating medical marijuana is different than smoking it. The onset will be delayed anywhere from a 1/2 hour to a full hour after eating. Edibles work best on an empty stomach, so try to eat them about 2 hours after a meal. Marijuana edibles are ideal for pain relief as they typically induce bodily sensations or sleepiness. The effects also last longer than those of inhaled cannabis. Plan on being in an altered state for roughly 4 hours or so, depending upon the amount of THC ingested. It is not advisable to drive or operate heavy machinery when under the influence of medicated treats. PLEASE KEEP ALL MEDICAL CANNABIS PRODUCTS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
For cooking ideas, you’ll find lots of medical marijuana recipes online. There are special cookbooks available for purchase, too. Happy cooking! One Love!
